BYOB (Bring Your Own Baby)

I have gotten to bring Sophie to work with me over a few days this week and last and she has been an angel.
This is Sophie and her teddy fast asleep.

New Year's Resolution: 12 step program

I have been thinking about some goals for the New Year. Of course the first things that I think of are the typical resolutions of getting in shape and saving more money (or any for that matter). I really do want to make some goals to achieve, but I think that I am going to make them monthly goals. With monthly goal I figure that I will be more likely to accomplish something and I will feel the rewards from my diligence to them sooner. It is like a 12 step program one step each month to help me reach my end goal. I am not going to list all my goals here, partly because I haven't decided them yet and partly so that I am the one holding me to them.

January:

  • Spend one hour a week to either blog or write in Sophie's scrapbook about the things she did that week.
  • Prepare for work and getting Sophie ready the night before. (This includes remembering to charge and pack my cell phone)
  • Put $25 away each week to save for visiting Hawaii! (Sara, I miss you already)
I think that this will be good for the first month plus a few personal ones! Good Luck with your goals and have a Happy New Year!!

Sledding all the way!

Erik has come to visit us here in SLC and today he and I went sledding while Mike was at home working and watching Sophie. Here are some shots from our adventure.
Erik's action figure shot.

This is a 16 shot clip with our new camera! Thanks mom and dad!

Erik and I found this jump and padded the landing area so that we would have a softer landing then Erik's first jump. The first jump he went off, he landed on the 1/4" of snow and the grass.

This tree was just begging to be climbed.

Hanging out with the little bro!

Month Five: The First Bite

Sophie got to taste her first bit of "food" last Friday for her five month birthday. I could tell that she was very ready to eat because had been watching us eat for about the last month. She really liked the rice cereal and has eaten it happily everyday since. Sophie doesn't know yet, but Santa (Grandma and Grandpa Olson) got Sophie a High Chair for Christmas.

Sophie would go cross-eyed looking at the spoon. She is so dang cute!!

Merry Christmas from Sophie

Since Sophie is the cutest of our family, we voted that she represent us for our Christmas picture. Well, really we just haven't taken a family one yet, but hopefully we can do that soon. I looked forever to find a cute Christmas dress for Sophie and finally found one. Here are some cute pictures we took in front of my parents' Christmas tree.
