We Bought a House Yesterday

So have not been blogging about the process of buying our house, because I don't really want to remember all of the ups, downs and long waiting periods that you have to go through. We put an offer in on our house March 27th and we closed yesterday May 22. It has been a long process mostly because we bought a property that was in short sale (which it seems almost every property is in short sale) and you have to deal with a bank and seller. Anyway, there was lots of waiting and waiting and more waiting, but all in all, it wasn't too bad. I think the most trouble we had was May 21 when we were supposed to close and things just kept popping up that needed to be taken care of. So as of yesterday it is official, we are homeowners again.
Here are some pictures of the new place.

Master Bedroom - This has an on suite with double sinks, jetted tube, separate shower, toilet nook, and walk-in closet.

Sophie's Room - There is a walking closet here too.

Garage - This picture is from the stairs that lead down into the garage. The main floor of the house is basically on the second level. There is a daylight/walkout basement so that raises the rest of the house. It is not a split level there are just stairs on the outside leading up.

Living/Great Room - That lady standing behind me is our Realtor Dorene (she is bite size and super awesome). This is our main living space and it is open to the kitchen and dining area.

Kitchen - The living room is toward the right of this shot and it is taken while standing in the dinning room. The white door is our pantry. We bought a fridge and it will be delivered on Tuesday.

Sophie's 9 Month Check Up

Sophie went to the doctor on Monday for her nine month appointment (yes I know she is almost 10 months) and everything is looking great. She is 18 lbs 3.5 oz and 28 inches tall. That means that she has put on 12 lbs 2.5oz and 9.5 inches since she was born. She was in the 75th percentile for everything at her 6 month appointment but she has now backed off a bit and is in the 50th for her height and 25th for her weight. I guess when they move to solid foods they tend to lose weight because the formula is so nutrition packed and they are not getting nearly as much. All in all the doctor thinks she looks great, happy, healthy and cute as ever.

(not this is not Sophie, I just thought it was cute)
I already posted some of Sophie's latest tricks, but here are some more.
Sophie, you are really crawling now and you are starting to explore things beyond the reaches of the living room rug. A week or so ago, you managed to get a hold of the power cord that all of the entertainment center is plugged in to and pull it out just enough to turn it all off. Did you know it takes FIVE MINUTES for the Tivo to turn back on? I think that you just wanted mommy and daddy to stop watching TV and play with you.

You are still mommy's super good eater. You like everything and you are not too messy yet. I think you are starting to figure out that if you drop something on the floor from your highchair that mommy or daddy will pick it up. You love to play with your little pink CareBear. You will dig through your toy basket just to find it. You always stick it's nose in your mouth and try to talk.

You are happy and smiley all the time and sleep though the night every night. Mommy and Daddy are extremely grateful for that. You love dogs and squeal we when you see one. You like to chase Bjorn around in your walker and you occasionally catch him.

Yesterday at Aunt Tara's house you started crawling up the stairs. You made it about three steps before she caught you. Now she has to start putting the gate up on the steps so you can't try to make more getaways.

About a week ago your two top teeth broke through, I haven't taken a picture of them yet, but I will when you can see them more. They are really cute.
I could go on and on, but for now, just know that mommy and daddy love you a lot.
