Sophie is 4

4th Birthday

Sophie is 4 but I feel like she has just turned 5.  She has grown so much this year. This year she has gone to preschool, has been learning to read, helps everyone with everything and has learned to use the iPad, computer, microwave, TV and the Wii.  She is an amazing big sister, she loves, loves, loves Addie.  One day I asked her to share some fries with Addie and she said but not the pointy ones.  She is always concerned about Addie's safety.

Sophie comes up with all sorts of things to ask about and say.  She has a huge vocabulary and asks about the definition of words she hears.

Here are a few favorites from this last year.

Sophie just instructed me on how to use 3M Command Clear Strips.

She told us about the phases of the moon, new moon, crescent moon and old moon.

While watching a movie with Grandpa Beaird, Sophie stops, turns to him and says, "Grandpa, this popcorn is exceptionally delicious."

We got rid of our cable tv and a few months later Sophie asked when are we getting real tv again.

"Mommy, that baby is crying and she wants to go back in your tummy." Long pause, "where's the hole?"

We love this girl.
