9 Months and 2 Days
Sophie is now 9 months and 2 days old. (That is only 3 months from being 1 year old, ahhh!)
She is such a happy and playful little girl. She has now perfected the art of army crawling with an occasional step or two of real crawling. On Easter Sunday in Relief Society she crawled to her car seat and pulled herself up to her feet for the first time. Since then she really has not done it again until last night when she pulled herself up with the couch.

She has been eating all different kinds of foods and even a few bites of some sweet treats. She also is able to feed herself little bits and things like banana, bread, and crackers. She doesn't really seem to have a food preference yet, and I am hoping that will stick.
Up until about three weeks ago Sophie always slept on her back. Now she mostly sleeps on her tummy but she moves every which way in her crib. She also tends to move very close to a side of the bed and snuggle herself up close.
She does make lots of funny faces and tries to copy the faces that you make at her. Peek-a-boo is still a very popular game and can get her laughing quiet hard.
Even though she is not very old Sophie has been on 4 round trip plane ride (to and from Seattle to visit Grandma Olson and oh, and the rest of the Olson Family) and a road trip to Vegas (also to see Grandma Olson).
This picture of Sophie sitting in her own seat from our most recent trip to Seattle.

Easter Sunday
(I am a little late on posting this.)
Last Sunday for Easter we got together with some of the Beaird side of the family at Dan and Juli's house for dinner. It was really fun and the weather was so nice. After filling ourselves with the super fab dinner we went out and did a little photo shoot.
As you can see in the picture below Sophie has put the egg down to pick up a chunk of dirt.
I was not able to get the dirt chunk in time and it went right in the mouth.
This is me wiping the dirt out of her mouth.

Our Saturday
Nothing really special about today.
Just a regular old Saturday.
It is nice to have one of them once in a while.
Mike works at home on Saturdays so Sophie and I are pretty much on our own.
Today I woke up, took Bjorn on a walk, came home and played with Sophie, worked on a sewing project until I broke the needle on my machine (which was the back up needle because I recently broke the first), packed Sophie in the car, picked up my sister-in-law Tara (she needed to buy fabric to make Easter skirts for her girls and hoped to be able to finish them by tomorrow) and headed to the craft store.
After looking at everything in the store, and resisting to by more then I needed, it was off to Costco and then Smiths Marketplace.
I dropped Tara off at home, went to Great Harvest and then home to finish my sewing project. Like I said, just a regular old Saturday.
This is a blanket and cozy for my friends little boy.
Sophie also decided she wanted to help with the laundry. Sophie will be nine months old next Sunday. Sophie and I are going to be visiting in Washington from Thursday to Monday of next week too.

Conference Weekend
My friend Cara and her hubby Eric came down to from Seattle this last weekend to visit and attend a session of General Conference. This weekend is know as "Conference Weekend" this reference is not just used by members but is used in the media here in Utah. Eric thought that is was funny to hear such "mormonisms" used in the media. While they were here we took a trip down to the Manti temple to walk around the grounds and enjoy the great weather.
Cara and Eric on the north side of the temple.
A couple of little family shots.
This is in the doorway of the eastside of the temple.
Sophie really like digging in the dirt and playing with the flowers.
Isn't this a great shot?
